Mr. Atkinson serves as Cratus Energy’s President. Jesse has over 10 years of experience in utility scale solar project development, technology development and finance.
Prior to Cratus, Jesse served as Vice President of Business Development and CFO of Alion Energy, a startup developing ballasted racking systems with automated cleaning robotics serving harsh environments.
From 2007 to 2012 Jesse was a project development manager for First Solar in the US and China developing a pipeline of utility scale projects.
Jesse holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Texas.
Mr. Stuhr serves as the Senior Vice President, Development for Cratus Energy.
He is a leader in both small and utility-scale renewable energy development and developed over 375 MW of solar and wind energy projects in the United States.
Prior to Cratus, Mr. Stuhr was a Vice President of Utility Solar Business Development for Blackstone Energy Partners’ Onyx Renewable Partners, a leader in flexible, creative solutions for the development, finance, construction and operation of large-scale renewable energy projects.
Prior to joining Onyx, Mr. Stuhr served as Director of Operations for the Norwegian sovereign-backed Scatec Solar.
Mr. Jacquez serves as a Senior Project Manager for Cratus Energy. He brings over 10 years of project management experience within the renewable energy, construction, manufacturing, procurement and design industries.
Prior to Cratus Energy, Mr. Jacquez worked as the Senior Project Manager of Solar Construction for Blackstone Energy Partners’ Onyx Renewable Partners in the Northern California territory. At Onyx, he managed over 36 commercial and industrial solar projects totaling more than 27MW of renewable energy.
Prior to joining Onyx, Mr. Jacquez worked as an Assistant Project Manager at Scatec Solar, a global leading independent solar energy provider. At Scatec, he worked with the state, local and federal jurisdictions in Utah and Georgia to develop 160MW of solar power projects.
He received his B.A. degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mr. Richards serves as an Associate for Cratus Energy. Thomas brings several years of experience as a project developer and energy finance professional to the Cratus team.
Prior to joining Cratus, Thomas worked at Denham Capital’s Endeavor Energy affiliate, focused on acquiring and developing energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and built a portfolio of over 650MW of power assets.
Thomas started his career at Marshall & Stevens, where he advised on a broad array of domestic and international renewable energy transactions.
Thomas holds dual B.S. degrees in Finance and Accounting from the University of South Florida and is a CFA Level III candidate.
Mr. Tippett serves as a Manager, Origination for the Cratus Energy focused on early stage development and project origination.
Prior to joining the Cratus Energy team, Tippett was the founder of North Star Development, LTD, an international renewable energy and real estate development firm, where he oversaw the company’s strategy and sales operations. He has significant corporate finance and business development experience through previous leadership positions in the telecommunications industry.
Prior to North Star, Mr. Tippett held senior new business development and sales positions in various tech companies including vice president of sales for a national carrier with a team of 50 and a $270M revenue target.
Mark Tippett hold a B.S. in Business Management from George Mason University and an M.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Maryland.
Tippett completed the United States Air Force Officer Training program to become a commissioned officer in the Air Force flying program and subsequently did a branch transfer into the Army infantry with the Maryland Army Reserves.
Tanner Kreger serves as a Development Analyst for Cratus Energy.
Prior to joining the Cratus team Tanner served as an Assistant Project Manager for Papenhausen Construction.
Tanner is responsible for land acquisition; managing the research and generation to support project origination.
Tanner received his B.A degree in English Literature from Sonoma State University.
Mr. Villarina serves as Managing Partner of Industry Capital, a private equity firm investing in real assets globally since 2003 with $2 billion of assets under management. In 1999, he co-founded Industry Ventures, a $3 billion venture capital firm specializing in the secondary market, and served as a general partner from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, he was a private and public equity portfolio manager at Eos Partners and Cassandra-Chase Partners in New York City from 1995 to 1999. Mr. Villarina has also held various officer positions in Wells Fargo Bank and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Villarina holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and MBA from Columbia University.
Mr. Wertheimer serves as a Partner of Industry Capital. Prior to joining Industry Capital in 2004, he was a successful entrepreneur with several well-known ventures in media and entertainment, consumer products and financial services. From 1999 to 2002, he was a founding executive with Size Technologies, an electronic payments company acquired by First Data Corporation in 2006. From 1995 to 1999, he was a Principal in Mark Burnett Productions, where he played a critical role in the development and sale of the successful reality TV franchises “Survivor” and “Eco-Challenge”. He received a A.B. from Princeton University and J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
